Most space websites feel like textbooks wearing a costume.
Technically accurate. Properly cited. And somehow completely missing the thing that made you look up at the sky in the first place.
That is why this site exists.
My name is Elara Voss. I am not an astrophysicist. I do not have a PhD. What I have is a years-long habit of reading everything I can find — research papers, mission briefings, ESA press releases at 11pm — and an inability to stop asking “but why does that work that way?”
I started The Universe Episodes in 2023 because I kept running into the same problem: the best information about space was buried in dense academic language, and the accessible stuff was either dumbed down or wrapped in so much dramatic language that it felt hollow.
There is nothing hollow here.
What You Will Find
460+ articles covering planets, stars, black holes, missions, and discoveries — written from primary sources, fact-checked, and published in 9 languages so more people around the world can access them.
But articles are only part of it. The Universe Episodes is also home to:
- Free space apps — built on real NASA data feeds, not approximations
- Space-themed games — because exploration should also be fun
- Product reviews — honest takes on telescopes, books, and space gear worth buying
- A shop — curated products and occasional free giveaways for the community
- Free downloads & coloring books — space art and resources you can print and use today
- YouTube videos — for topics that are better seen than read
Every piece of content here starts from the same place: genuine curiosity about how the universe works, and a commitment to representing it accurately.
How We Work
Every article published here goes through primary source verification. If a number appears, it came from NASA, ESA, or a peer-reviewed publication — not from another blog that got it from another blog. We say “scientists are not sure yet” when that is the honest answer, because uncertainty is also interesting.
That is not a common standard on the internet. We think it should be.
